Halo Reach Recruit exam map.

Everyone who has Halo:Reach please post below that you have it just so that i get an idea of who has. Also on the 26th of september (this sunday tomorow) ill be forging on the SGA recruit examination map for about 2-3 hours, probably from about 10 onwards is when ill be on the xbox. The map is pretty much complete ive only got abit more detail to put in then its ready for people to use it. What i need help with is maybe a couple idea of what i could change around and i need as many people as i can get to help me test out strategies and how many people there will be for both teams.

The map is set on forge world, obviously because its such a huge map. There will be 2 teams Blue team will consist of 4-6 SGA members. The Red team will consist of 4-6 SGA new recruits who want to join. There might be a third team who spawn above the whole map, they will be known as the observers or the examiners. They will watch over the whole map keeping track of both teams, their armour colour will be green and they are a neutral team so no-one is to fire at them, not even as a joke or they will be booted from the match and maybe from applying for the clan.

Red team known as the SGA new recruits will be dropped off at the beach-head furthest away from they objective, which is still to be decided what that objective is. The objective will be situated in the metal cave dug out of the giant rock/hill. The recruits are the attackers and will have to fight their way threw battle hardened SGA members. The recruits will have to choose their loadouts wisely.

As for the SGA their objective is simple, prevent the recruits from reaching the their objective and taking it. The SGA (being the defenders with the better built in defences and weaponry set up) will have the upper hand depending on the recruits ability to work well with each other. At the moment it is undecided how long the recruits have to complete their mission, i think the match should be 45 minutes long, 5 minutes briefing the recruits and 40 minutes to complete the task, let me know what you think below.

Ofcourse we arent just going to drop the recruits in there and have 4 SGA with snipers to gun them down, that would be too easy for the snipers and far too hard for the recruits. The SGA will be spaced out well so that they are defending each one of their hideouts, outposts and bases well. Who knows there might even be a marksman hiding behind some foliage somewhere or a mine just tucked under some rubble.......tread softly and stay in cover.

The map is huge and is filled with hidden weapons and armour power ups, they just need to be found. The match will require the recruits to steal a warthog from the defenders to escape a couple of snipers and drive it to the SGA outpost (NOT the acutual base with the objective). The point of this is because the gap between the the closest island to the SGA outpost is so far that the only way to get there is by falcon or banshee but in this case the falcon which the SGA outpost will have 2 of and a armory where the attackers can quickly stock up on ammunition and weapons before the final attack on the SGA base.

it was inside when i give it to him, coz i thought ill get it back, and we went to a lan party and we played reach, so i tought that he will put it back in to the xbox, or he'll give it to me but no, he forgot it

Sounds like a good plan. Just need to structure each section better so it's clearer to newcomers so bulletpoint and summarise each task etc.

The map has been complete for a week now and i really need people to help me test it out for anything that could be improved, i cant add anything to the map because i only have $5 remaining for objects, all of that $9995 was spent well on buildings for the bases, equipment and vehicles. The equipment the Red's will be using are pretty much the regular default weapons of the game. Here is a list of the weapons and armour abilities the Red's will be starting off with.

These weapons and armour abilities are not necessarily the ones they will be using throught the match, for example they might find hidden weapons and abilites, some dropped by the enemies they killed and some found in the three Blue's bases they will encounter in the match. Also ive decided to remove ALL grenades from the match, nobody spawns with any and they cant be picked up, the grenades being removed is not up for discussion but the rest of this post it.

Blue team being the SGA will have a large selection of weapons and abilities as well as the defensive position advantage. They will have pretty much all UNSC weapons and a couple Covenant weapons for the "Specialists" of the team including all the armour abilites put in their own armory along with the rest of their weapons and ammunition.

Below are the stages for the whole match, from spawning to returning to base.

Stage 1 : Briefing
Once Red team spawn they will be briefed on their mission which is fairly straight forward. Go behind enemy lines and retrieve the informant who has valuable information which could help you win the war. Once the briefing is over the recruits will be asigned to one of three Falcon's in the base.

Stage 2 : Flight of the Falcon's
Once the pilots have been given the go ahead they will take off and begin the journey to the other side of the map, the Red base is situated directly above the Blue base which is obviously a design flaw. Forge world is big, but not that big. The flight will take you over the Blue's base showing you exactly where everything is, this map set out will be the first time any of the recruits have seen this map so they will have to be observant during the flight. Recruits will be dropped off at the beach-head which isnt the best place to be dropped off at but the beach has large rocks for cover and a cave for cover directly to the left of the drop zone. The mission begins when you hit the ground.

Stage 3 : Beach-Head
When Red team hit the ground they wont know what to expect. There might be a sniper, sniper's, mines, anything, they just need to know how to look at the ground and to the cliffs well. The beach is very rocky so there is plenty of cover from anything that might attack them. Red team will eventually need to get to the cave on to the left, its the only other cover they will have and it will confuse the SGA members about the recruits position. Careful, there might be something in the tunnel recruits wont expect. Once leaving the tunnel there will be a guarded SGA outpost with maybe 1-3 people defending it. When they have been scared away or killed there are a few vehicles waiting behind that base.

Stage 4 : The Drive
The recruits need to steal the vehicles and follow the canyon down through the large cave to a point where they cannot drive any further. At that point they will need to quickly get out of their vehicles and take cover.

Stage 5 : King of the hill
The fifth stage is when the recruits need to get up the hill and capture the Blue team's outpost. This stage begins when they have vacated their vehicles just after exiting the large cave, the outpost is well defended and the reason for that is because Blue team's outpost has two or maybe three falcon's which is going to be their only way to get to the final Blue base. The outpost is heavily guarded, who knows what weapons and hidden weapons there might be on that island.

Stage 6 : Flight and fight
After taking the outpost the recruits must fly to the final enemy base. This is where both teams will need to really work together to complete their mission at hand. The base is hard to get to and the defenders are armed to the teeth, but if the recruits have done well in collecting weapons then they will put up more of a fight. After finally entering their base they will need to extract the informant with the information which might help win the war which is explained in stage 1.

Stage 7 : Evac
After saving him you will need to leave that base quickly, the informant might have some information for you that cannot be discussed at this moment in time. Recruits will be told where to go either in the briefing or during the mission. When the Red's have safely escorted the informant out of the warzone into a safe area the mission is over and everyone has stopped fighting.

After the match is over a few of the higher members of the clan will go into theatre mode and watch the Recruits gameplay. In the match each team will be in separate parties and the recruits have a SGA member giving them information throught their mission, the SGA member will be the person briefing them and giving them the information during the mission so that person will be in the recruits party. The SGA member helping them is incharge of their mission but in the field one person out of the 4-6 recruit team will be incharge with someone else as 2nd in command of the small squad. In theatre mode the examiners cant hear what anyone was saying at the time, so the SGA member helping the recruits is incharge of remembering how they all responded to orders, if they messed around and how well the recruit incharge gave orders to the others.

If i could get atleast 3 or more people helping me with this map on sunday then we can properly use it for recruits that join in the future.

Sundays testing of my map went very well and im happy with the outcome, the map can now be properly tested. I would also like to thank the members that contributed with yesterdays testing of the map.

Now that the map has been tested 12 people from the clan are needed for this saturdays "beta" testing for my map for recruits, 6 recruits and apprentices are needed, 3 pilots, 2 already SGA members from Private or above to be the defenders against the recruits are needed and 1 person who knows the map quite well and is good at explaining that the Recruits will have to do, this person will brief the recruits and will be constantly helping the recruits throught the match.

The 6 recruits will be chosen soon by someone high up but the other 6 spaces are for people to volunteer. The 14 people in total who play on the map for the first time properly will be known throught the clan as the first and will be rewarded for it. The other 2 members that have already been chosen is me and ExploitZoR who will be playing for the SGA members and will appear as blue in the game. The recruits are red.

I have invited alot of new recruits to the game on sunday so maybe the new recruit cap will either be raised to 9 just for the extra people joining or the new recruits that didnt get to go threw the test this weekend will have to wait until next weekend or later. I have asked alot of members to join in but that was just really asking for availibility, if they want to join in there or 2 spaces left for red team please make it clear below that you would like to participate this sunday. This test is a right of passage for joining the clan, first come first served.

Ive also failed to mention what happens to those that die............they get booted from the party and the game. They can make NO contact with any players in that game whilst they are still in play. This is because once you die your not allowed to tell your team where the enemies are and everyone has one life, its harsh but it goes for both teams. Now that all positions have been filled all recruits now need to get to know each other. I shall post here later today or in the morning tomorow who is incharge of the recruits and whos 2nd in command.

Incharge of Red team on the ground is B L1NE and has now been promoted to Apprentice Grade II.

2nd in command of Red team is DaWeeDude and has now been promoted to Apprentice.

The other 4 members will remain at Recruits and all 5 of them will listen closely to B L1NE.

These positions have been chosen because they have played with other clan members more than the rest and look up to the job. Petrucci will be monitoring how you all listen to orders during the match, for the match Petrucci has 0 tolerance, you dont mess around because that will effect your overall score by the end of the game. If any of the members do not agree with what B L1NE, Petrucci or DaWeeDude are ordering you to do then feel free to tell ExploitZoR or myself. Once the match is over there might be a little talk after, me and maybe another high ranked member will be going into theatre mode afterwards to take a look at the Red's gameplay. After doing that and discussing with Petrucci how well they did we will make a decision as to where you will be placed in the clan.

The match yesterday went not exactly as planned and 4 members were not there so next saturday or sunday we need to re-do the match with all members there, ill begin another list of members taking part.
